Ella Fillmore Lillie was born in Minnesota and began her art education there. She headed east, attending the Art institute of Chicago, and New York School of Fine Arts, studying with Ambrose Webster and Kenneth Hayes Miller. She worked with master printer George Miller in creating her many fine atmospheric lithographs, but
